Stagg students pass national Microsoft Office Certification

Wetzel scores perfect accuracy

Becoming Microsoft Office Certified in Word is not an easy task. Not only do you have to be well versed in how to use all of its functions, but you have to do it in a timed, 50-minute test.

Many of the students in Ms. Kuypers’ Computer Apps class have done just that--passed this nationally recognized test to become certified in Word. Not only that, one of these students passed the test with 100% accuracy!

Leandra Wetzel, a junior, took the test after weeks of practicing and preparing for it. She finished the test in less than the 50-minute limit and still came away with a perfect score. With an MOS certification, students may be able to qualify for and get jobs easier--the proof that they know how to use Word better than someone who is not certified will put them at the head of the line.
