Suburban Homeless Man Is Cook County's First Cold-Related Death of Season

Police found the man dead Monday, Nov. 30.

A 57-year-old homeless man found dead by Summit police on Monday is Cook County’s first cold-related death of the season.

William Kuzma was pronounced dead at 9:43 a.m. on or near a Southbound ramp of Interstate 55 near First Avenue in Summit, reports the Daily Southtown.

Kuzma died of hypothermia due to cold exposure, with chronic alcoholism and heart disease listed as contributing factors, according to autopsy results.
