Suspect in Crossing Bar Shooting Dead Of Apparent Suicide: Police
Worth police say person identified as shooter in Crossing Bar double homicide committed suicide in another town.

WORTH, IL — The person positively identified as the shooter in the double homicide at a Worth bar is dead of an apparent suicide, Worth police said.
The shooting happened in the early morning hours of Jan. 10 at the Crossing Bar and Grill, 6959 W. 111th St. Police said a man walked in and started shooting, leaving two men dead. A warrant was issued for the alleged shooter’s arrest three days later. Worth police called the shooting an “isolated incident.”
On Thursday, police said they learned the man sought in the arrest warrant “may have committed suicide in another town.” The man was positively identified and pronounced dead at a local hospital.
