Warrant Issued For Shooter In Crossing Bar Double Homicide: Cops
Worth police say the suspect in the Crossing Bar and Grill shooting that left two men dead has been identified.

WORTH, IL — An arrest warrant has been issued for a suspect positively identified as the shooter at a Worth bar, that left two men dead, police said.
The shooting happened early Monday morning at the Crossing Bar and Grill, 6959 W. 111th St. Police told Patch earlier in the week that the parties involved in the shooting were “known to each other.” The gravely injured men were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where both were pronounced deceased.
Worth police are working with other law enforcement agencies in the area to locate the suspect.

In the hours after the shooting, a photo of a man people said was the suspect was shared on neighborhood social media. Worth police quickly dispelled the rumor, issuing a statement that the man was not involved in the shooting.
"This information has been determined to be inaccurate," Worth Police Chief Tim Denton said. "The person identified and posted to social media is not the offender in this incident. The Worth Police Department is reminding the public to not take any action into their own hands."

The South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force is working with Worth police in their investigation. Police sought an arrest warrant Thursday at the Bridgeview Courthouse.
“We still believe this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community at this time,” Denton said.
