Trucking Company Out $45K From Fraudulent Wire Transfer
Palos Hills trucking company employee mistakenly wires money from business account after receiving a fake email, cops say.

PALOS HILLS, IL -- Police are investigating a fraudulent wire transfer due to a possible email hacking at a Palos Hills trucking company. Around 1 p.m. June 7, an employee at Celtic Cartage, 11200 Southwest Highway, reported receiving an email from a supervisor asking to wire $45,000 from the business account to another account. After the money was wired, the employee learned that the email was fake and never sent by the supervisor.
