Undeck Your Halls, Leave Christmas Trees Curbside For Pickup In Palos

PALOS — Republic Services will be offering curbside pickup of Christmas trees the first three weeks of January in Palos Heights, Palos Hills and Palos Park.

Trees will be collected on residents' regular trash collection days through Jan. 19. Leave your tree in the parkway and be sure to remove all decorations and tinsel.

Lake Katherine Nature Center, 7402 W. Lake Katherine Drive, Palos Heights, is also offering live Christmas tree recycling through Jan. 14.

The Stagg High School International Club is collecting broken and unwanted string lights at the Green Hills Library, 10331 S. Interlochen Drive, Palos Hills. Lights will be taken to a recycling facility where profits will be donated to local charities.
