Package Pilfered
Someone opened a package left in the common area of an apartment building in the 10000 block of Walnut Drive sometime before 2:30 p.m. Jan. 9. According to police, the thief opened the package and stole the contents.
Flagpole Vandalized
A flagpole was vandalized at the Timbers condominium complex in the 8200 block of Chestnut Drive sometime before 11 a.m. Jan. 11. The rope was cut to the flag, causing Old Glory to fall to the ground.
Fraudulent Call
A resident said that an unknown caller contacted them to say that a family member needed $5,000 sent to Florida on Jan. 12. It turned out that the family member was safe and didn’t need any money.

Stolen Massachusetts Vehicle Recovered
A stolen Toyota was recovered from the 11200 block of Moraine Drive around noon Jan. 13. The car was reported stolen in Massachusetts on Dec. 21.
