Video: Microsoft certification, dual credits, skills for college/work at Shepard
Watch students 'do' immediately after they learn a new concept.

Teacher Jennifer Klein takes students step-by-step through a Word module today in her Computer Applications class. It’s part of the national Microsoft certification program at Shepard.
This video illustrates a great dimension of this course: As soon as Klein covers a concept or idea, students can apply that knowledge on screen. They ‘do’ as soon as they learn, the very best way to understand.
In this class, students learn Word, PowerPoint, Excel and other programs useful in any subject area, earn college credit with an ‘A’ or ‘B,’ and gain Microsoft certification by passing a test.

“I’ve found that most of my students once they’ve passed one test really want to try for the other ones,” Klein said.
