Video: Shepard feeds the needy for Thanksgiving
Special thanks to Jewel in Palos Heights, Dollar Deals in Crestwood
For more three decades, the Shepard High School community has served those in need around the holidays. The campaign started weeks ago with students and staff donating food and other essentials.
Special education teachers and students shopped this year, saving organizers much needed time.
The Jewel Food Store in Palos Heights donated generously to the Shepard effort. And the Dollar Deals store in Crestwood allowed Shepard organizers to purchase goods at a huge discount.

Today families will pick up food. Yesterday, teachers Brad Fisher, Erin McLean, Kris LaRocco, and counselor Jim Benes and students made morning and afternoon deliveries to people who do not have the means to come to Shepard and pick up food.
We truly appreciate the generosity of everyone who makes these days possible. And of course our staff members and students who give of their time to organize donations.
