Leo club students teach seniors to line dance

If there's anything better than watching teenagers teach senior citizens to dance, it's watching those seniors then dance enthusiastically. That's exactly what happened last Saturday at the Moonlight Harvest Senior Citizen Dance at Shepard High School.

"After the (orchestra) finished (playing big band music), the kids got the band to play some line dance songs - Cha Cha Slide and Wobble. You can see all the kids dancing with the seniors and then one of our students grabs the hand of a senior to show him how to do the dance," said teacher Jennifer Spellman.

Leo Club, the high school affiliate of Lions Clubs International, has sponsored the senior citizen dance for well over a decade.
