Walgreens Latest Target Of Storage Tote Thieves: Palos Hills Police
Thieves cart off 65-70 retail storage containers in box truck behind the Palos Hills Walgreens, reports said.

PALOS HILLS, IL — Thieves made off with several dozen plastic retail storage containers behind Walgreens on April 11, Palos Hills police reports said.
An employee at Walgreens, 11053 S. Southwest Highway, told officers there has been a rash of recent thefts of retail storage totes behind the building. Video surveillance captured a black box truck pulling up behind the store around 1:17 a.m.
Police said two people got out of the truck and loaded approximately 60 to 75 red folding totes into the truck, which was last seen fleeing down Southwest Highway.

The reusable totes sell for approximately $50 to $75, often to recyclers, which are then shredded and turned into something else. The cost of the supply chain to replace the plastic totes is passed down to the consumer, according to Logistics.com.
