Worth Man Arrested In Park With 8 Packets of Heroin: Prosecutor

Man was observed in Gale Moore Park with cannabis pipe and open bottle of Crown Royal, prosecutor tells judge.

A man arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance in a Worth park will be subjected to random urine drops while out on bond, a Cook County judge said.

Alexander Soto, 26, appeared in bond court at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

Prosecutors said that Soto was observed at Gale Moore Park at 109th Street and Nordica around 4 p.m. May 25, with a cannabis pipe and an open bottle of Crown Royal.

Soto was also allegedly found to be in possession of eight foil packets of heroin.

Bail was set at $25,000. Soto’s next court appearance is June 15.

The judge said the bond will be revoked if Soto tested positive for heroin.
