Worth Man Charged With DUI Following Motorcycle Crash
Driver and passenger seriously injured in crash, who suffered broken vertebrae in neck, prosecutor said.

Palos Hills -- A Worth man was charged with aggravated DUI after he and his passenger were seriously injured in a motorcycle accident on July 17.
Prosecutors said that James Anglim, 26, came back from a family barbecue where he met up with friends. Anglim had about four beers when he offered a friend a ride on the back of his motorcycle.
Palos Hills police observed Anglim speeding eastbound down 103rd Street when officers heard the motorcycle’s engine revving. A moment later officers heard a crash.

Anglim and his passenger were both found lying unconscious near 103rd and Harlem Avenue. The motorcycle was on its side.
The two were taking to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where Anglim allegedly admitted to police that he had been drinking prior to the accident.

The prosecutor said a blood draw at the hospital revealed a blood-alcohol content of .309.
Anglim suffered broken ribs, facial injuries and a fractured eye socket. The passenger was also seriously injured, suffering a broken vertebrae in his neck, a broken nose and road rash.
Anglim’s attorney told the judge that his client is a graduate of St. Laurence High School and in the U.S. Marine Reserves. Anglim recently returned home from a tour in the Middle East.
Cook County Judge Peter Felice set bail at $10,000.
Anglim’s next court appearance if Aug. 17 in Bridgeivew.
