Wrong Way Driver Charged With DUI: Police

Palos Hills police said man was driving on the wrong side of Roberts Road.

Palos Hills Police stopped a driver who was driving on the wrong side of the road early Tuesday morning, prosecutors said.

According to the charges, police stopped Tom Palarz, 34, at 1:41 a.m. when he was spotted driving on the wrong side of Roberts Road in Palos Hills.

Officers said that Palarz showed signs of impairment and failed field sobriety tests. He was also found to be driving on a revoked license stemming from a 2012 DUI charge.

Palarz was charged with aggravated DUI and aggravated driving on a revoked driver’s license, as well as misdemeanor traffic violations, including improper lane usage.

Bail was set at $30,000. Palarz is also required to submit to random drug testing should he bond out.

His next court appearance is scheduled for Nov. 3 in Bridgeview.
