• USDA Celebrates 100 Years of Route 66 and Hundreds of Miles of Investments in Rural Illinois (thepaper1901.com) — Pana’s fuel station is set to receive major upgrades through a USDA grant to Chronister Oil, adding new ethanol and biodiesel dispensers that should significantly boost renewable fuel sales. The funding is part of nearly $11 million invested along and near Route 66 to improve fire protection, community centers, water systems, and biofuel infrastructure in rural Illinois.
