• Man, 40, Charged In 2025 Crash That Killed Park Forest Man, 25 (patch.com) — A Park Forest resident has been charged in connection with a 2025 I-57 crash that killed 25-year-old Park Forest man Riley Vercher near Matteson. State police say the suspect allegedly fled on foot after the multi-vehicle collision, and he is now in Cook County Jail facing charges related to leaving and failing to report a fatal crash.
