6 Corners Walking Tour
Tour-goers will go behind-the-scenes to see Chicago's rapid growth during the early 20th century with the evolution of Six Corners

What: Six Corners Walking Tour explores one of Chicago’s most historic districts and examines the transformation from 6 Corners as a crossroad to quickly becoming the city’s most fascinating and intact outlying shopping districts.
Throughout the tour, participants will examine the districts growth and evolution. Highlights include modernist retail architecture such as Robert Heller’s intact 1940 former Straus & Schram store, which has been converted to house the Filament Theatre, National Veterans Art Museum, Inside Out Art Studio, and The Chicago Ballet Center. The tour will also examine the surrounding neighborhood, including a mix of overlooked oddities, folklore and more!
When: Sunday, May 15th, 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Tour consists of 1.5 miles of walking that lasts approximately 4 hours with times for breaks.
