Charity Tennis Tournament at Maine East High School this August

Chicago local hosting Charity Tennis Tournament in Park Ridge this August!

Chicago local and nonprofit founder Kelly Johnson, really enjoys making a difference in the community -- as she started her own nonprofit, the Kelly Johnson Foundation (KJF) in 2014. With her background in coaching college tennis and competing, she began hosting tennis tournaments to raise money for her nonprofit and its Johnson Family Scholarship Program, which benefits local high schools in Wisconsin and Illinois. Johnson will be hosting the 3rd annual Play It Forward Tennis Tournament at Maine East High School in Park Ridge, near Oakton Community College campus where Johnson coached the Men’s and Women’s tennis programs since 2016 on August 10th and 11th.

"We had great success in the northwest Chicago suburban area, increasing the number of participants and scholarship funds raised over the years, growing the Kelly Johnson Foundation and its community impact. We have over 20 different divisions from juniors and family to men’s and women’s divisions to fit the needs of all KJF supporters! For 2019, we even have giveaway items from Northwestern Athletics, Wilson Sporting Goods, United States Tennis Association (USTA), which adds onto the competitive play, fun and excitement at Play It Forward,” said Kelly Johnson, tournament director.

So mark your calendars...
