Dr. Mark Howes, DVM will present a free educational seminar entitled "Your Guide To A Happy And Healthy Pet" at the park Ridge Public Library on Thursday June 28 at 7:00 pm. The seminar is open to the public.
Dr. Howes is the medical director and owner of Berglund Animal Hospital in Evanston, Illinois. He is the author of "Howes Calls," a monthly pet advice column that appears locally in the Bugle Newspapers. The one hour seminar will cover a variety of topics including preventative medicine for pets; vaccinations; seasonal pet health issues; pet health insurance; pet emergencies; specialties of veterinary medicine; how to choose a pet to match your lifestyle; food and nutrition; and caring for the senior pet. A question and answer session follows the seminar.
