A little bit healthier, a little bit well - thier and a whole lot wiser at the CAC!

The Centennial Activity Center in Park Ridge held a Senior Expo on Thursday, May 19, 2016

If you missed the event this year, you should mark your calendars for next year - in pen! The Park Ridge Park District's Centennial Activity Center hosted their annual "Healthy, Well-thy, and Wise" Senior Expo this past Thursday, May 19th from 9am - noon to a pack house. There were 38 community vendors on hand sharing their expertise. Everything from dental health, hearing screenings and physical fitness, to mental health, elder law, care giving, and everything in between was represented at the CAC.

Staff from the CAC were present as well giving tours, showing a Center video, and discussing the hundreds of program opportunities and services offered to the members of the CAC, Park Ridge, and the surrounding communities.

There were generous raffles held at the expo donated by the participating businesses with the proceeds to benefit social service programs at the CAC. An entire side room was allotted for an array of snacks and hot coffee and tea. Entry fee for all of this? Canned and non - perishable food items to benefit the Maine Township Food Pantry.
