Maine Township Community Garage Sale To Set Records in 2016
In its 11th year, the Maine Township Community Garage Sale is on pace to set records.

For the 11th consecutive year, spaces for vendors are projected to
sell out weeks before the event. The Annual Community Garage Sale is
organized by the MaineStay Youth & Family Services department of
Maine Township.In addition, a record number of sponsors have joined in
to support the worthy event.
Benefiting at-risk youths in the Maine Township community as well as
needy families, the event will be held rain or shine on Saturday, Sept.
24, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the parking lot of Maine Township Town
Hall, 1700 Ballard Rd., Park Ridge. All attendees can register to win
one of two kids bikes to be given away that day. The bikes were provided
by Bil-Mac Express of Elk Grove Village.
Event proceeds benefit the Adventure Maine Township Summer Camp and
the Township’s food pantry which serves hundreds of families each month.

Area residents and other event-goers can participate in several ways.
People can make a financial donation or come by to participate in the
sale. There are bargains galore from over 80 sellers.
Event sponsors include Maine Township, The Journal & Topics
Newspapers, Senior News 50 & Better, Chicago Behavioral Hospital,
International Bank of Chicago, Suburban Resource Guide for Seniors,
Village Bank, Summit of Uptown, Bil-Mac Express, Parkway Bank, Republic
Services, Costco, North Shore Motor Works, Cook County Commissioner
Peter Silvestri, State Representative Michael McAuliffe, and Liberty
Bank for Savings.
