Marty Maloney Team Helps Local Family and Celebrates Fat Tuesday

As a way to give back to the community and help a family with medical expenses, Marty Maloney and his team jumped in to help.

Local residents in Park Ridge celebrated Paczki Day on February 28 to help a Park Ridge family. Marty Maloney and others from his campaign team worked with House of Cakes to provide Paczki treats for those in town who wished to celebrate Fat Tuesday with these special treats.

The unofficial group of friends and neighbors offered Park Ridge delivery from 7 – 10:30 a.m. the morning. But, many chose to pick up their orders at Marty’s campaign office at 801 Devon, Park Ridge. Orders were for all assorted (dozen were: three chocolate, three raspberry, three strawberry and three lemon and half dozen were: two chocolate, two raspberry and two lemon). The group added $7 per order in the way of a donation. At the most recent count, over 500 of the special Lenten treats were delivered and presumed devoured on Fat Tuesday.

All net proceeds will be donated to the Benny Martinez Family as a way to support a Park Ridge family while their 12-year-old son, a 7th grader at Lincoln Junior School, takes on a tremendous fight to regain good health. Proceeds help cover medical expenses.
