The race will take place on Sunday, April 12 and online registration is available now through Thursday, April 9 as well as on race day from 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. To symbolize the fearlessness and strength of the children and the families of those children who are battling pediatric cancer, all participants are invited to dress up as their favorite superhero.
“I wanted to create an event that all ages can enjoy,” said Rosemont resident and Aurora University student Brigid Mackey, who is organizing the event. “Giving it a superhero theme is symbolic of a child’s bravery in the face of pediatric cancer. We can all act as superheroes providing hope and support to those affected by pediatric cancer by getting involved in this race.”
