Meet Dr. Alicen McGowan!
Park Ridge Chamber Member Dr. Alicen McGowan is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and treats children, teens and adults.
Meet Dr. Alicen McGowan - The winner of the Park Ridge Chamber's Monthly Networking Luncheon Business Card Raffle.
Dr. McGowan is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Park Ridge and a member of the Park Ridge Chamber of Commerce. McGowan enjoys helping to solve and treat a variety of issues in adolescents, teens and adults. She specializes in helping children as well as teens cope with divorce, moving, school changes, anxiety and behavioral issues. When working with young children, play therapy is often used. McGowan is also an addiction specialist who works to treat drug, alcohol, gambling and video game addictions. Treatment is individualized on a case by case basis.
While helping people solve their problems is McGowan's passion, she is interested in being involved with social issues as well. McGowan was recently appointed to the Advisory Board for the Department of Children and Family Services and is also a committee member for Chicago Says No More.

Dr. McGowan has been a Park Ridge Chamber member since she moved her office to Park Ridge three years ago and enjoys participating in Chamber events. Her favorite events to attend are the Monthly Networking Luncheons because she is able to interact with a plethora of people from different organizations and feels the luncheons offer a wide variety of informative speakers on ever-changing topics.
