Meet Marlie from the American Cancer Society

The Park Ridge Chamber's Monthly Featured Member, Pykelny, explains how the American Cancer Society can make a difference in our community.

MEET MARLIE!

Marlie Pykelny is the Community Development Manager for the American Cancer Society of Illinois.

The mission of the American Cancer Society is to save lives, celebrate lives and fight for a world without cancer. "One of the greatest service that we provide is our 24/7/365 live helpline. Any time of the day or night, someone can call the American Cancer Society and speak to a live representative about their cancer questions. You never know when you’re going to have a question and ACS is there to help point you in the right direction," said Marlie.

Through generous support, many find a way to give back to a mission that helped them or give as a way to honor their loved one that had cancer. And people return to ACS events because of the experience that they have joining others in their community to support an important mission.

Marlie mentioned, "I love attending any Park Ridge Chamber event when I make great connections. I am still getting involved as much as I can, so I hope to have a chance to meet more and more people in 2019!"
