Meet Wes Davis!

Wes Davis has found the “gig economy” to be an effective way to finance the life he wants. Two particular "gigs" that are Mr. Davis holds close to his heart are his work as a Medicare Agent and Self-Care Advocate.

Working as a Medicare agent, Mr. Davis enjoys learning clients’ needs and helping them select the Medicare programs that best suits their health and finances. “Park Ridge residents have the benefit of great doctors and hospitals available in a low-cost network policy called Medicare Advantage. This is a great option for everyone,” said Mr. Davis.

In addition to his work as an agent, Mr. Davis feels it is of great importance in today’s society to be a Self-Care Advocate. He loves helping people take control of their health and aging and believes environmental factors must be addressed in order to do so.

“With a few simple changes we can minimize, maybe eliminate, the health problems often associated with aging. Diet and exercise are important, but not sufficient in our modern world. Water, air, light, sleep, and nutritional balance are critical additions to any attempt to slow the aging process. Proximity to O’Hare and the increase in electronic gadgetry are additional causes for concern,” said Davis.

Mr. Davis enjoys staying active in the community and enjoys attending Chamber functions. Business After Hours events are his favorite due to the extended networking time frame and casual environment. He credits the Breakfast Club for being the most effective in helping him to develop relationships. Mr. Davis volunteers his time to different organizations within Park Ridge and believes volunteers make the community a great place to live. He loves seeing familiar faces and getting to know new neighbors. In his spare time, Mr. Davis participates in Pickleball - a fun-loving Park-District club. The club engages in social events outside of game-time and are always welcoming new members to the group.
