Park Ridge Blotter: Cell Phone Use Allegedly Leads to Accident

The following arrest information was supplied by the Park Ridge Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Underage drinking

A 17-year-old Park Ridge male was charged with underage drinking in the 1100 block of Dee Road on Sept. 21. His court date is Oct. 9.

Two other 17-year-old Park Ridge males were also charged with underage drinking in the 1100 block of Dee Road on Sept. 21.

Criminal trespass

A 48-year-old Des Plaines man was charged with criminal trespass on Aug. 31.

Suspended license, accident

James Fitzsimmons, 53, of Glenview, was charged with driving on a suspended license and failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash near the intersection of Northwest Highway and Glenview Road on Sept. 25.

Mobile use allegedly leads to accident

Alexander Peszek, 18, of Chicago, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and using an electronic communication device while driving. His court date is Nov. 9.

Battery

Judith Maroney, 48, of Park Ridge, was charged with battery on Sept. 29.

Possession of Mary Jane

A 16-year-old Park Ridge male was charged with possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia as well as breaking curfew on Sept. 30 around 1 a.m. The teen was arrested in the 2600 block of Windsor Mall.

Curfew

A 16-year-old Park Ridge Male and a 15-year-old Park Ridge female were charged with being out past curfew on Sept. 30 around 1 a.m. The teens were arrested in the 2600 block of Windsor Mall.

Animal Control

A 59-year-old Des Plaines woman was charged with failure to control her animal on Sept. 29. The woman was cited in the 100 block of Northwest Highway.
