Park Ridge Blotter: Minors Consume Alcohol
The following arrest information was supplied by the Park Ridge Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

DUI
Christopher Caldwell, 25, of Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, no valid insurance and illegal transportation of alcohol on Aug. 19. Caldwell was stopped near the intersection of Higgins and Brophy Roads around 12:42 a.m. for a traffic violation. His court date is Sept. 7.

Grzegorz Podsada, 33, of Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol on Aug. 16. Podsada was stopped near the 700 block of Greenwood Avenue for a traffic violation around 4:40 p.m. His court date is Aug. 31.

Dana Michael Morris, 21, of Iowa, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and reckless driving on Aug. 24. Morris was stopped near the intersection of Potter and Busse roads around 4:43 p.m. His court date is Sept. 12.
Zero tolerance
A 13-year-old boy was charged under Illinois' Zero Tolerance law on Aug. 21. He would later be released to parents after police charged him in the 100 block of Home Street around 11:30 a.m.

A 14 and 15-year-old girl were charged with Illinois' Zero Tolerance law on Aug. 25. The teens were arrested in the 100 block of Busse Road around 9:17 p.m. They would later be released to parents, according to police.
Incident at Maine East High School
A 17-year-old juvenile from Des Plaines was charged with disorderly conduct and battery, and a 17-year-old juvenile from Niles, was charged with disorderly conduct after an Aug. 22 incident at Maine East High School. The Park Ridge Herald Advocate reported that an altercation occured between the youths in a hallway. The 17-year-old from Des Plaines also was charged with battery because he allegedy punched a staff member in the face who was trying to break it up, the newspaper reported.
Consumption of alcohol by a minor
A 16-year-old boy was charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor on Aug. 24. The teen was arrested in the 1100 block of Dee Road around 12:13 a.m., according to police.

A 16-year-old girl was charged with disorderly conduct and possession of alcohol by a minor on Aug. 24. The teen was arrested in the 1100 block of Dee Road also around 12:13 a.m., police said.

A third teen was charged with disorderly conduct and possession of alcohol by a minor on Aug. 24 around 12:13 a.m. The 16-year-old boy was also arrested in the 1100 block of Dee Road on Aug. 24, according to the report.
Several teens charged with underage drinking
A total of seven teens were charged under Illinois' Zero Tolerance law on Aug. 25. Police made the arrests in the 900 block of Northwest Highway around 11:39 p.m. Among those charged included John Manzella, 18, of Park Ridge, a 17-year-old juvenile from Chicago, a 17-year-old juvenile from Elmwood Park, a 17-year-old juvenile from Niles and a 17-year-old juvenile from Park Ridge.
There were also a 16-year-old and a 15-year-old charged in the same incident.
