Garage burglary

A garage in the 100 block of Lincoln Avenue was reported burglarized on Aug. 12. According to the report, a generator and several tools were missing.

Theft from auto

An I-Pass device and cell phone charger were reported stolen from a parked car in the 900 block of Froestview Drive on Aug. 11.

A car in the 900 block of Forestview Drive was reported burglarized on Aug. 13. While the offender gained access, no items were reported missing, police said.

Incoming!

A man reported having his vehicle hit by a large rock while driving in the 300 block of Summit Street on Aug. 11.

Shattered glass

A resident reported his window damaged by an unknown person(s) in the 700 block of Western Avenue on Aug. 13.

Fence parts stolen

A business in the 1900 block of Cumberland Avenue reported that an unknown person(s) removed several wooden fence planks from the property on Aug. 15.

Residents foil ruse

An unknown male with a dark complexion knocked on a victim’s door and advised he was with the company that replaced the victim’s roof, and he noticed some shingles had fallen off so he wanted to replace them on Aug. 15.  The subject and the victim went into the yard when a second unknown male entered the house but was confronted by another resident and immediately left, police said.  Both subjects are described as males with dark complexions, approximately 30-40 years old.  Nothing was reported missing.

Stolen rims

A set of four wheels were reported stolen from a 2012 sedan that was parked at a dealership in the 800 block of Touhy Avenue on Aug. 10.

Stolen bike

A resident reported his bicycle stolen from the 100 block of Prospect Drive on Aug. 10.

Gas-n-Go

A man pumped about $20 of petroleum at a gas station in the 1100 block of Touhy Avenue and fled without paying on Aug. 16.

The case of the missing bag

A woman sitting on a set of bleacher seats in the 100 block of Western Avenue reported her tote bag stolen on Aug. 14.
