Park Ridge Police Blotter: Angry Solicitor Calls Homeowner Names and More

Solicitor Became Angry
A solicitor knocked on the door of a residence in the 2200 block of DeCook Avenue July 18. When the homeowner told him that someone else from his company already had been there, the solicitor became angry and called the homeowner names. As the solicitor walked away he threatened the victim's husband.

Two men in their 20s entered a store in the 800 block of W. Devon Avenue on July 14. The men removed a guitar from a wall rack and left the store without paying for the item. A witness chased then men who laid the guitar on the grass, apologized for taking it and ran off. The witness recovered the guitar.

A resident in the 1000 block of W. Devon Avenue arrived home July 15 at 1:10 a.m. and noticed a white minivan or SUV parked on her street. After entering her residence the woman heard the front screen door open and close. When she looked outside, she saw an unknown man standing in her driveway near her vehicle. The man then left the scene.
Theft
Someone removed two copper downspouts from the train station in the 900 block of Busse Highway. The incident happened sometime between July 11 at 1:30 p.m. and July 13 at 11:50 a.m.
