Park Ridge Police Blotter: Rollerblader Knocked Down, Robbed

Rollerblader Robbed

The victim was rollerblading in the 1300 block of S. Cumberland Ave. on July 29 at 9:12 p.m. when a white male approached and asked for directions. The suspect threw the rollerblader to the ground and took a cell phone from the victim. The suspect is described as 16 to 18 years old, 5 feet nine inches tall and weighing 150 to 165 pounds, with a brown "buzz cut." After taking the cell phone the suspect left on foot.

A home in the 700 block of Ottawa was burglarized July 28 between 4:30 p.m. and 9:40 p.m. Someone pried the locked door of the home and took miscellaneous pieces of jewelry.

The garage of a home in the 1700 block of S. Prospect was burglarized July 28 between 3:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. Someone pried open a locked detached garage and removed golf clubs and various hand tools.

The garage of a home in the 1500 block of S. Prospect was burglarized sometime between 9 p.m. July 29 and 10:30 a.m. July 30. An unlocked detached garage was entered and a snow thrower taken.

Car Burglaries

A Toyota Sienna was burglarized July 27 between 12:30 a.m. and 6 a.m. Someone entered the unlocked vehicle in the 800 block of N. Merrill Street and removed the garage door remote control.

A 2007 Honda Odyssey was burglarized in the 1600 block of S. Fairview in the driveway of a home. The unlocked vehicle was parked in a driveway whe someone took a ring, earrings and money. The incident happened between 11 p.m. July 25 and 6 a.m. July 26.

A 2001 Ford was burglarized in the 1700 block of S. Crescent Street June 17 between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. A checkbook and a GPS unit was taken.
