Park Ridge Police Blotter: Wrought Iron Bench Stolen, Vandalism and More

Theft

Someone removed a wrought iron bench from the front of a house in the 1600 block of N. Parkside Drive. The incident occurred sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 12:55 p.m. June 14.

A wallet containing cash and a credit card was removed from a backpack at Centennial Pool, 100 S. Western Avenue. The incident occurred June 14 between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Someone took money out of a purse from an unlocked locker in a locker room in the 1500 block of W. Touhy Avenue. The incident occurred on June 13 between 10:50 a.m. and 11:05 a.m.

Three hubcaps were taken from a 2002 Dodge in the 1000 block of Hamlin Avenue sometime between 8 p.m. June 8 and 10 a.m. June 9.

Vehicles Burglarized

Someone entered an unlocked 1997 Ford between 11:30 p.m. June 7 and 7:45 a.m. June 8 in the driveway of a residence in the 1400 block of Higgins Road. The vehicle was ransacked and an undetermined amount of money taken as well as two pairs of sunglasses.

An unlocked 2005 Toyota Sienna was burglarized in the 1700 block of S. Greenwood Avenue. A GPS unit was taken.

An unlocked 2007 Jeep Commander was burglarized sometime between midnight and 8 a.m. June 13 in the 2200 block of N. Parkside Drive. Money, a debit card a driver's license and a work ID were taken.

Vehicles Damaged

Someone used a marker to write on a 2002 Dodge in the 1000 block of Hamlin Avenue between 12:20 a.m. and 6 a.m. June 11.

A windshield of a 2001 Ford Van was damaged in the 2700 block of W. Sibley Street between 8:20 p.m. June 11 and 8:29 a.m. June 12.

Vandalism

A fence in the 800 block of Busse Highway was spray painted sometime between 5 p.m. June 8 and 7 a.m. June 9.

The outside wall of an office building was spray painted in the 900 block of N. Northwest Highway on June 9.

A tree was pulled out of the ground in the 200 block of N. Prospect Parkway sometime betwen 11:30 p.m. June 8 and 12:30 a.m. June 9.

The window of a home was damaged in the 1200 block of Crain Street sometime between 5 p.m. June 11 and 6 p.m. June 14 after someone threw a piece of asphalt at it.
