PRCW Fundraiser to Benefit ALS Patient

Park Ridge Community Women's annual fundraiser will benefit ALS patient, Mike Britt, shown here with his wife Randee & PRCW members

This year’s Park Ridge Community Women fundraiser “Nightmare on Olmsted” will benefit the Britt Family, a local family affected by ALS. The Halloween costume party will be held on Saturday, October 25 from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at the Dirty Martini Lounge (second floor party room, inside Moretti’s) at 6727 N. Olmsted, Chicago.

A long-time Park Ridge resident, Mike Britt was diagnosed with ALS last year. His illness has rapidly progressed, requiring Mike to use a power wheelchair. The event will help raise funds toward purchasing a wheelchair-accessible van as well as medical and other expenses. Mike and his wife Randee have worked for the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services for over 30 years in a variety of roles, including investigating child abuse and neglect.

Prizes will be awarded for best costumes but costumes are not required to join in on the fun. To purchase tickets ($80/individual or $150/couple) or make a donation, please visit www.prcw.org.
