Fire officials from multiple agencies were called to a home on the 25000 block of Cuba Road this morning after the  

Barrington Fire Department arrived on the scene and found a box that smelled of gas in the garage. A firefighter was transported to Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital experienced on the scene.

Police Take On Wild Marijuana Plants

McHenry County Sheriff’s this week in what is described as a wild cannabis grow, authorities said.

A property owner in the 20000 block of Anthony Road discovered the plants on July 16 and contacted the sheriff’s office, according to a release. Deputies responded and , the release stated.

One Dead, Two Injured Following Robbery, Police Chase

One person is dead, two others critically injured after in Antioch.

The Antioch Police Department said three suspects entered the Bernie's Marathon Gas Station at 830 Main Street in Antioch around 9:20 p.m. Sunday .

Police say the suspects pepper sprayed the clerk while holding her at gun point and demanded money. The suspects obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and sped away in a a silver Chevy Sedan, headed south on Route 83 .

The 44-year-old Lake Forest woman pulled from Lake Michigan July 15 following a seven-hour search has been .

Kut, a resident in the 1200 block of Windwood Drive, drowned in Lake Michigan, according to Lake County Coroner Artis Yancy. Kut , who called after discovering she was not at home. At 10:15 a.m., a U.S. Coast Guard Helicopter spotted her body floating about two miles east of Forest Park Beach.

Woman Faces DUI, Battery and Felony Criminal Damage Charges

The Arlington Heights Police arrested a 28-year-old Gurnee woman at 903 East Algonquin Road at 3 a.m. Sunday, July 15 on .
