Scholarship Application Deadline Approaching

The Park Ridge Chamber of Commerce will award three $750 scholarships to graduating seniors (or GED equivalent) who are college bound (or other post-secondary institution). The scholarship will be paid directly to the awardee’s selected post-secondary institution in September.

Each year the Park Ridge Chamber awards two $750 scholarships, but this year Jocelyn and Danny McGovern, Re/Max Properties Northwest have offered to donate $1,000 to our scholarship fund in order for us to give away a 3rd $750 scholarship. We truly appreciate the McGovern's generosity!

The applications are judged on their service to community and school, response to essay questions, awards and honors, transcripts, extracurricular activities, and letters of recommendation. The student should emphasize their areas of strength, as the committee will equally consider all candidates.

All applications are due April 24, 2017. Scholarship recipients will be notified by May 3, 2017 via letter, email, or phone.
