The Summit of Uptown Brings Hedda Hopper Program to Park Ridge on Sept. 14

This will be a fun and interesting program. Check this out!

Summit program shines the spotlight on Hedda Hopper Sept. 14

Hedda Hopper once said “I can wear a hat or take it off, but either way it’s a conversation piece.” When Hedda! A Musical Conversation comes to The Summit of Uptown, Monday, Sept. 14, at 2 p.m., the woman who became an American icon will come to life through the musical and theatrical talents of Jillann Gabrielle.

In a series of phone conversations, songs, and chats with the audience, Gabrielle will tell the story of Hedda Hopper. Her show will portray the woman who was strong…long before women’s lib…from her Quaker upbringing, her run as an MGM bit player, to her meteoric rise as the hat-crazed Hollywood gossip columnist including her legendary feuds with Hollywood’s elite.

Gabrielle’s nostalgic look at Hedda Hopper is just one of the variety of programs and activities presented by The Summit of Uptown. There is no charge the program, but reservations are required by Thursday, Sept. 10, by calling 847-825-1161, ext. 129. Parking is always available in the Uptown City garage across the street.
