Summit of Uptown Honors Vets from Three Wars

We are all thankful to our veterans who served the USA in so many ways. The Summit took time to honor its own from three wars.

Summit Honors Its Veterans

The Summit of Uptown in Park Ridge held a big celebration honoring Veteran’s Day on Nov. 11. Approximately 25 veterans from all branches of the United States military who served during World War II, the Korean War and Viet Nam came together to be honored by fellow residents and staff. The tribute was titled “Stars and Stripes Forever.”

Here are just a few of Summit’s veterans (standing l to r) Robert Tietz, John Bittner, Ken Briars, Les Torrey and (sitting) Dan Novak and Edwin Jantho. For more information on The Summit’s events and activities open to the public, visit www.summitofuptown.com or call 847-825-1161.
