TeaLula Gives Flowers for Heroes this Memorial Day

This weekend TeaLula will be handing out 250 long-stemmed red roses to commemorate Memorial Day.

TeaLula will be handing out 250 long-stemmed red roses this Saturday, Sunday, and Monday to those wishing to place a rose on the grave of a veteran for Memorial Day. “When I learned about the Memorial Day Flowers Foundation, I immediately wanted to participate. This is such a simple, yet poignant way to reflect on the meaning of the holiday and commemorate the service and sacrifice of our military, ” said Sheila Duda, owner of TeaLula. She plans to make this an annual event.

The Memorial Day Flowers Foundation (MDFF) has been placing roses on headstones at Arlington National Cemetery and in hundreds of communities across the country since 2011. One of its goals is to honor every one of the 280,000 grave sites at Arlington on Memorial Day with a rose. “As part of our participation, an additional 150 roses will be placed on the headstones of veterans in Arlington National Cemetery,” Duda said.

Located in Park Ridge, TeaLula is a retail tea shop providing over 150 varieties of premium loose leaf tea sourced from gardens around the globe. For more information, visit www.TeaLula.com.
