Teen Asks for Food Donations for Her Birthday to Support Needy Families
In an amazing act, a Park Ridge teen asked for food donations to the local pantry in lieu of gifts.

An amazing generous gift from a local teen
Maine Township Supervisor Carol A. Teschky, right, thanks Elizabeth "Libby"
Horak, 16, of Park Ridge for her generous donation of non-perishable items to
the Maine Township Emergency Food Pantry.
In lieu of gifts for her birthday, Elizabeth asked for donations to
the food pantry. She attends St. Ignatius College Prep and volunteers
for Community Tutoring Alliance, where she tutors math to
underprivileged children and for Ray Graham Circle of Friends, where she
helps children with down syndrome and autism.
