Winners of $10,000 in Scholarship Announced by Liberty Bank
Ten lucky winners of $1,000 scholarships were randomly selected from over 900 entries. Congrats to all.
Winners announced in Liberty scholarship giveaway
The winners of ten $1000 scholarships awarded by Liberty Bank for Savings have been announced. They are Kristen Budzynski (Park Ridge), Brian McCarrick (Park Ridge), Melissa Murphey (Chicago), Jennifer Steurer (Park Ridge), Sandi Tarpey, Angela Tuebo (Park Ridge), Caroline Vengazo (Park Ridge), Julie Walczak (Park Ridge), Stacey Wesselkamper (Park Ridge), and Rick Wilkens of (Park Ridge).
The scholarship giveaway which celebrated Liberty’s 10th anniversary in Park Ridge, may be used for books, tuition, and/or housing for pre-school, K-8, high school, college, or adult education.
“We were delighted to have received more than 900 entries in the scholarship giveaway”, said Jaime Roman, manager of the Park Ridge Branch. “Liberty has always had a strong commitment to educational programs,” said Roman. “We view it as the key to personal and economic growth.”

Liberty Bank for Savings, an $850-million Chicago bank, opened its doors at in Park Ridge at 1018 Touhy ten years ago.
The winning entries were drawn by Park Ridge Police Chief Frank Kaminski on Saturday, Jan. 14 at the bank located at 1018 W. Touhy Avenue, Park Ridge.

The bank’s financial literacy program includes an AllStars savings account for children that awards them $5 for an “A” on their report card. More information is available at libertybank.com/all-stars.
