Peoria Park District unveils Track Chairs to make trails more accessible (wmbdradio.com) — Peoria Park District is rolling out two all-terrain Track Chairs at Forest Park Nature Center, giving residents with mobility challenges a new way to enjoy local trails. The $35,000 devices, which use tank-like tracks and joystick controls, will be available to rent starting Wednesday as part of the district's push to make outdoor spaces more accessible.
   

4. Women's Volleyball Adds Two More Wins on Day One of CEFCU Invite (lindenwoodlions.com) — Women's volleyball fans in Peoria can catch Lindenwood riding a hot 9-2 start after two wins on day one of the CEFCU Invitational in town. The Lions swept UT Rio Grande Valley and rallied past New Mexico State, and now face Bradley University in Peoria on Saturday afternoon with momentum and a balanced, high-powered attack.
   

5. Peoria ceremony celebrates 87 new U.S. citizens (centralillinoisproud.com) — Peoria residents saw 87 of their neighbors from 32 countries become new U.S. citizens during a moving ceremony at the Peoria Public Library. Families, friends, and local civic leaders celebrated as participants took the oath of allegiance, then many registered to vote and reflected on making Peoria and the United States their permanent home.
