10 HS Marching Bands To Compete At 4th Annual Band Invitational

The annual invitational will be held at Plainfield South on Sept. 18. Students from Plainfield high schools are among those competing.

PLAINFIELD, IL — Ten suburban high school marching bands are gearing up to compete at the fourth annual Marching Band Invitational, set to be hosted at Plainfield South High School Set. 18.

Students from Plainfield Central, East and North high schools will be among the students competing in the event that will take place at the high school, 7800 Caton Farm Road.

Doors to the invitational will open at 2:30 p.m., and the first performance will start at 3:30 p.m. At 7 p.m., Plainfield High School's band will perform an exhibition show.

Tickets for the event will cost $8 for adults, $5 for students and senior citizens. Two adult tickets will cost $15, and a family of three and four can get in for $20 or $25, respectively. Tickets are free for children ages 5 and under.

Parking for the event will be free, and concessions and merchandise will be for sale as well. A full performance schedule can be found here.
