The Plainfield Police Department was among multiple law enforcement agencies throughout Illinois that participated in the Thanksgiving "Click It or Ticket" and "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign in an effort to reduce highway fatalities.
Officials said the reason they conduct year-round enforcement campaigns is to "keep motorists buckled up and impaired drivers off the roads to save lives and ensure everyone makes it home safely at the end of the day."
