12 District 202 High School Artists Place In Art Competition
Artists from all four Plainfield high schools were among more than 130 students to participate in the Southwest Prairie Art Conference.
PLAINFIELD, IL —Twelve artists attending Plainfield School District 202 high schools placed in a local art competition March 11, officials announced.
The students participated in the Southwest Prairie Art Conference, which this year was hosted at West Aurora High School. More than 130 students, representing all 12 high schools in the conference, participated in the art competition. Besides all four District 202 high schools, other schools present included Joliet West and Central, Minooka, Oswego, Oswego East, Romeoville, Yorkville and West Aurora high schools.

Plainfield Central High School
- Emily Guardado, senior, computer-generated art — Second place
- Sadie Childs, junior, digital photography — Second place
- Hannah Strange, sophomore, printmaking — Third place
- Elisabeth “Elle” Ebersole, senior, drawing color — Honorable mention
