19 D202 Elementary, Middle School Students Chosen For All-State Chorus
Ten Ira Jones sixth graders and nine Meadow View Elementary fifth graders were nominated by their instructors to participate in the concert.
PLAINFIELD, IL — Nineteen fifth and sixth graders from the Plainfield area were selected to attend the 2024 Illinois Music Education Association Elementary All-State Chorus.
Ten sixth graders from Ira Jones Middle School and nine fifth graders from Meadow View Elementary School were nominated by their instructors to participate in the rehearsal and concert, which took place Jan. 27 at the Peoria Civic Center.
Karen Blair serves as the choir director at Ira Jones Middle School, and Jason Dornink is the music teacher at Meadow View Elementary School.

The one-day elementary school chorus event was held in conjunction with the Illinois Music Education Association's state conference and all-state programs for high school students.
