Two others refused treatment at the scene.

PLAINFIELD, IL — A three-vehicle crash sent five people to area hospitals Sunday afternoon. Plainfield Deputy Fire Chief Jon Stratton said the crash occurred around 1:37 p.m. at 119th Street and Route 30. Two additional people refused treatment at the scene of the crash.

Stratton said details on the crash weren't immediately available, and the incident is under investigation by Illinois State Police.

Bolingbrook, Naperville and Oswego ambulances provided mutual aid, taking patients to Bolingbrook and Rush-Copley hospitals. Stratton said none of the patients appeared to suffer life-threatening injuries or had to be extricated from the vehicles.
