60 D202 High School Musicians Headed To ILMEA Festival

PLAINFIELD, IL — Sixty musicians from Plainfield Community Consolidated School District 202 high schools are heading to the Illinois Music Educators Association District 9 jazz, choir, band and orchestra festivals in November.

The senior jazz festival will take place Nov. 2 at Waubonsie Valley High School in Aurora, and the senior concert festival will happen Nov. 9 at Dundee Crown High School in Carpentersville.

The students were selected based on a competitive audition. On the day of the festivals, participants will rehearse with instructors before performing with other students.
