9 Plainfield D202 6th Graders To Sing In All-State Chorus
The Ira Jones Middle School students will perform in the Illinois Music Education Association Elementary All-State Chorus this month.
PLAINFIELD, IL — Nine sixth-grade students from Ira Jones Middle School are heading to Peoria Jan. 28 to perform in the Illinois Music Education Association Elementary All-State Chorus.
The chorus is made up entirely of sixth graders nominated by their professors. At Ira Jones, Karen Blair is the choir director.
Before the students perform Jan. 28, they will rehearse the show, which will take place at the Peoria Civic Center.

The one-day elementary school chorus event is held in conjunction with the ILMEA state conference in which 11 Plainfield School District 202 high schoolers will perform.
