PLAINFIELD, IL — The leaves are changing, and the air is crisper — that means Halloween is creeping in.
The spooky holiday falls on a Saturday this year, and the Village of Plainfield set its recommended trick-or-treating hours for 4-8 p.m. Oct. 31.
Families will have another opportunity to trick-or-treat and celebrate the fall at the annual Spooktacular, hosted Oct. 24 by the Plainfield Shorewood Area Chamber of Commerce. From 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., kids decked out in costumes can trick-or-treat at local businesses along Lockport Street in the downtown area.
