Back On The Rack is owned by mother and daughter Arlene Kenny and Jennifer Estabrook.  With the state of the economy, the idea of consignment is becoming more and more appealing.  We decided to join the fun and open our own store, and what better place than in the heart of downtown Plainfield.  We cherish the time we get to spend together and really enjoy meeting and spending time with other moms and grandparents as they participate in selling and purchasing of items for their children all in a family friendly, clean and relaxed atmosphere.  It is so rewarding and so much fun when we see our customers find that something special for their little ones.  We want Back On The Rack to be a well-organized, clean, good smelling and comfortable place for people to shop. People love high quality, fashionable clothing.  Babies and toddlers grow like weeds, this we all know, and it can be expensive keeping up with this rapid growth.  Back On The Rack has created an outlet for moms to “recycle” their gently used, great quality children’s clothing and gear.  Moms can make some extra money, shop and save on quality children’s items their kids need and feel good about their purchases.

Our consignment boutique is committed to offering top quality trendy children’s clothing and maternity clothing at a fraction of the cost.  We work with consignors who are committed to offering quality children’s items and benefiting by receiving a portion of the profit once an item has been successfully sold.  Back On The Rack is extremely grateful for each of our consignors and will make every effort to ensure that each item consigned has the best opportunity to sell so that everyone that is involved is happy.  Back On The Rack features gently used children’s clothing, sizes newborn to fourteen, baby gear, books, toys, bows, shoes, maternity and more! We are very selective in the items we accept.  We want our shoppers to feel like they are buying new.  Our clothing selection includes brands like Gymboree, Gap, Janie & Jack, Levis, Carter’s, Ralph Lauren, Hart Strings, Tommy Hilfiger and much more.  Back On The Rack has something for every budget.
